NASA is creating a playlist for its upcoming Moon mission

by Techno TV - June 11, 2019

NASA is embarking on a historic journey back to the Moon in 2024, and in celebration of this monumental event and the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 launch, the space agency has decided to involve the public in creating a playlist for the trip. The upcoming lunar mission is approximately six days round trip, and to keep the astronauts entertained during their venture, NASA is curating a Moon Tunes playlist.

From June 3 to 28, NASA has called upon music enthusiasts and space enthusiasts alike to submit their favorite tracks for consideration. Music suggestions can be submitted through a dedicated form, or participants can share their choices on social media platforms using the hashtag #NASAMoonTunes. This unique opportunity allows people from around the world to contribute to the soundtrack that will accompany this historic journey to the lunar surface.

The chosen tracks will be featured on NASA's Third Rock Radio station, which is available online, on the air, and on satellite radio. The playlist will be broadcasted on July 13 and 14, giving participants the chance to hear their favorite tunes being played in space.

This initiative not only adds a touch of creativity to the space mission but also fosters a sense of shared experience, as people globally come together to curate the perfect musical accompaniment for NASA's return to the Moon.
