A recently inaugurated techno club is now operating within Munich's largest museum.

In recent years, Munich has witnessed a resurgence in the global dance music scene, thanks to a vibrant community of artists, clubs, labels, record stores, and community radio stations. One notable addition to this revival is the Blitz nightclub, which has made a significant impact. Featuring two dance floors, a capacity of 600, a custom-made VOID sound system, and meticulously designed acoustics, Blitz is housed within the Deutsches Museum’s Forum des Techniks. The venue also includes a restaurant branded by musician Trevor Jackson.
What sets Blitz apart is its ambitious vision for Munich's club scene. According to founder and resident DJ David Muallem, Blitz aims to be "a place of inclusion in a city where nightlife is mostly about exclusivity," as he shared in an interview with Groove magazine. The resident DJs, including local heroes like the Zenker Brothers and Skee Mask from the Ilian Tape label, hint at the diverse musical experiences Blitz intends to offer both at its physical location and through the label it plans to launch in the future.
